Sesame Street Costume Party for My Birthday!

Are you familiar with Oscar, Ernie, Big Bird, Cookie Monster, Bert and Elmo ?Is there anyone who doesn't like them? I bet no one! I really love them most especially Elmo. I can still remember when I was still a kid. My sister Rosilie and I love to watch them on television. Do you know the TV show?Yes, it's the Sesame Street!

It was my nanay's birthday yesterday.

We didn't go out to celebrate but the family had a dinner together.

HOW OLD IS OLD?

I was a bit surprised when I open my site today and read the message of Catherine of Cathara Main. She will be celebrating her 25th birthday on October 13 and that will be less than 2 months.

Cath, I think you are in the stage of confusion. Feeling old is just a state of mind.
You don't have to lose teeth, have white hairs and reach a certain age to be old.
I am proud to say that I am 30, I have white hairs but I feel and look so young that I wanted to be 50. There could be activities that I can no longer endure to do like biking for hours or go mountain hiking for days. These are activities that can't be endured by literally old people but for those who in spite of their old age conquered their physical limitations by doing almost the impossible. They are those who are young in spirit and don't see age as a hindrance. I have seen a number of young ones who appear to be at the verge of helplessness, that they prefer suicide, drugs, alcohol to name a few. This reality contradicts the very meaning of youth: hope, adventure, life to its fullest. Truly, there are really people who wanted to grow old faster because they don't want to go to through life pains and disappointments. But, age and life's spices go together. We grow older but wiser and tougher because of the learnings we get from our very mistakes or failed relationships. If we don't learn from these, I guess age doesn't count at all.

On the other hand, there are people who are between their 50's to 80's who dress up young and act young. For them, they can dress just like youngster because they can't accept that they are way past their age. Some old ones simply wanted to look better regardless of their lifestyle or clothing because that makes them feel better. Indeed, age is a state of mind, a matter of perspective.

Last July 18 was my 30'th birthday and I was surprised when Ate Jinky of Small Steps by Jinky drop by to our boutique and gave me this present.
My sister and I met her last year during our Christmas celebration with other fellow gensan bloggers. It was an honor to met a wonderful couple like them!

Birthday Gift for Myself!

I have been going to Davao back and forth but
never had a chance to go to SM mall because I'm always in hurry.
But yesterday, I decided to be there early so,
I can have extra time with Angie and so that we can stroll at the mall.
Our first stop was at the All Flip Flops store...hehehe

I bought myself a new pair of Havaianas flip flops.
Actually, we have our own havaianas flip flops in the store
but I decided to buy one for myself anyway it's my b-day.

Trip To Davao City!

I will be celebrating my 30th birthday on Saturday and I was inviting my friend Angie from Davao City. Unfortunately, she can't come so I decided to visit her today and treat her out for lunch. My Huge Travel Plan For My Birthday Celebration!

I am making a huge plan for my upcoming 30’Th birthday celebration. Where am I going? I will be traveling to Manila, Philippines to have a big celebration at the Sofitel Luxury Hotel. I choose this venue for my birthday and at the same time the baptismal of my son Ziggy. Below is my travel plan for you to check.

First things first, I need to settle the venue of my celebration which will be held in their luxurious swimming pool. We will be having a Hawaiian theme for the double celebration. The said party will be on the 18’Th of July. I am inviting all my friends most especially who are living in Manila area. Share your precious time with me and my son Ziggy.

The remaining days after our celebration will be spend visiting Ocean Park, Manila Zoo and we will be traveling to Tagaytay on the last day of our vacation. I am just so lucky that I was able to have this vacation plan at the lowest bargain rates.

Today is June 1, 2009 and it my sister Rosilie's birthday. Since we spend 12 hours travel by boat, we arrived past 7pm. No way we can cook for her birthday. So, nanay decided to buy her a cake, ice cream and lechon manok for dinner.

Sis, it looks like we are not getting any younger anymore.lolz
